Susanna Malinowsky,

born 22.07.1963

I live in a small rural village in Lower Austria. During my freetime I love to go walking, to travel, to read and enjoy listening to good music - especially while painting!.

For my work I prefer to use acrylic, but I use chalk and pencil too. Realism and Surrealism are my stylistic directions. I have so many ideas in my head that I want to paint, and so many holiday photos that I want to recreate on canvas. Sometimes I really wish I had more free time to work on these ideas. My family continue to offer me inspiration, advice as well las criticism, all of which I am truly grateful for.

Since 2018 I have had the honour of participating in many exhibitions,
both in Austria (Vienna, Krems, St. Pölten)
and abroad (Budapest, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Venice, New York).

I was persuaded to hold my first exhibition by a dear friend of mine. She saw my pictures and said that I couldn't just keep them at home. She insisted I show my artwork at her artist agency's anniversary celebration that year. The excitement was high, and the event was a great success. That really gave me the confidence I needed, and ever since then I have regularly been exhibiting my work. I am grateful for all the experiences, both artistic and technical, that I have gained since that initial presentation, and look forward to future exhibitions

People often ask me which artists inspire me. Of course it would be incredible to be recognised as one of the greats, alongside Hundertwasser, Monet, or Klimt. I have so much respect for their work.

For me, it's really touching when people value my paintings and style.

Thank you for your interest,

Susanna Malinowsky
